The
Ho
use of Lions
Last Sunday, on a walk, I found ...
The strangest house for miles around.
I'll show you, will you go with me?
Don't worry, we'll be home for tea.
Come, through the woods and up the hill,
Turn west before you reach the mill.
Follow a little bubbling brook,
Take fifty paces, stop and look ...
There...there it is. Yes that's the place!
Quick, let's run down - we'll have a race.
You've won - well done! Here, take my hand.
Come through these gates, they're very grand.
A pair of rampant lions stand guard,
And there are more if you look hard.
I'd better warn you to be fair,
This is a kind of lion's lair.
Let's go on in and up the drive.
Others await, as we arrive.
A mighty couple and four more
Will greet us at the great front door.
