Abracadabra is, for the second year running, offering its full support for National Children’s day UK. Taking place on Sunday May the 14th, it will feature a variety of events aimed at invloving children in a multitude exciting and educational outdoor activities and bringing nature into their lives to stay.
Events include the the launch of new organizations such as Outdoor People and screenings of Project Wild Thing in wild places all across the UK – including the tops of mountains! Click here to see how you can get involved.
Lots of people are also planning to swap their children’s screen-time for wild-time the week before and we hope this will remind everyone of the joys of the wild.
There are now hundreds of suggestions of how to get more wild time on the National Children’s Day UK and Wild Network websites. They include everything from bug safaris, snail racing and pavement art to playing leaf snap and making wild masks. A free smartphone app,˜Wild Time”, supported by the Wild Network, is packed with outdoor adventures for time-pressed families to help get their kids outdoors.
