Children’s Book Week 2016

Attention all you ravenous bookworms the time has, once again come to nibble through narratives, devour descriptions, pick apart plots and feast upon literary banquet of facts, fantasies, tales and truths.

Sample a succulent new story or burrow down into your favourite work of fiction.  Whatever your fancy, Children’s Book Week is certain to satisfy every one your wordiest wishes.

Beginning On Halloween 2016,  The National Book Trust Charity will be organising a of series of special events at libraries, day care centres, schools, nurseries, and bookshops and inviting children with their families from across the country to come and celebrate the wonderful world of creative storytelling.

Taking part in this year’s festivities are several famous authors and illustrators including Cressida Cowell and Nick Butterworth, all of whom will be delighted to share their knowledge and passion for nothing more than your kind attendance.

To help parents and teachers provide some fresh inspiration, The Booktrust has also published a comprehensive guide to junior fiction featuring a hand crafted selection of 60 contemporary titles, not least amongst them is a masterpiece on the Minecraft!
